My whole body hurts. My arms hurt from the numerous IV attempts and from using them as a support to avoid using my stomach muscles.
My legs hurt from also using them as a support to avoid using my stomach muscles. We attempted to go out for lunch today and stopped at half price books. As we were walking in to the store, my legs were cramping up. I did ok walking around the store but walked more like an 85 year old than a 25 year old.
My back and sides are sore. I think this is from sleeping on the couch.
It goes without saying that my stomach is sore due to the surgery. It hurts to lay down flat but I think I'm going to try and sleep in our bed tonight.
I think literally every part of my body hurts. My body feels broken and like it has abandoned all of the things it's supposed to be doing. I guess it's typical to feel this way after a surgery. I'm trying to rest as much as possible and let my body heal but it feels like it's such a slow process.
The emotional pain is a whole other thing that wouldn't even fit into one little post. We are dealing with it together and we'll come out stronger for it.
Thanks for being there for us. I know I say it all the time, but we really appreciate you all.
