Tonight's gonna be a good night

I'm just getting ready to head out for the day but wanted to post a quick blog.

Tonight is the benefit for my uncle. In June of 2007 he was diagnosed with non Hodgkin lymphoma. He went through many round of grueling treatment. He relapsed in October of 2008 and needed a bone marrow transplant. One of his brother's was a perfect match, thank goodness!

After the transplant, he started suffering from graft vs. host disease and needed lots of immunosuppressant drugs to stay alive.

In February of this year he had a very bad lung infection that resulted in him being in the ICU. He is still recovering from this lung infection and is off the immunosuppressants now.

My mom decided to hold a benefit to help their family. As you can imagine, medical bills for all of this treatment have been expensive and they needed some help.

We've had a great response so far for items for the silent auction. I hope we have an even better response for how many people will be there.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
