So tomorrow is my birthday. At this time last year, we were gearing up to do our first clomid cycle with my OB. So much has happened in the last year. I'm going to take the opportunity to post about all of the wonderful things that happened last year because I think it's important to count those blessings.
Last year on my birthday we spent the day at the aquarium and we went to see Up! It was a wonderful day and we had a great time.
In June, we celebrated our one year anniversary. We also celebrated my mother-in-law's 50th birthday by throwing a surprise party. It was so great to surprise her! I also got to celebrate with one of my oldest and best friends as she married the love of her life! June was great!!
We took a trip over 4th of July weekend to Norris Lake. It was nice to get away but it was rather cold. I started working night shift, which I love. I met Dr. S and I'm so thankful he is my RE now!
August went by quickly and soon came September. One of my other best friends got married and I stood by her side. It was so much fun to be a part of all the wedding festivities. We also celebrated a special birthday with one of the besties. My husband started back to school part time, which I'm extremely proud of.
October was fun! We went to a Halloween party were my husband proceeded to drink a bit too much. Zach's best friends got a puppy and we spent Halloween with them in Ft. Wayne!
I'd love to have a repeat of a month like November of last year. Carrie Underwood's new CD came out. I interviewed for and was offered my current job. We celebrated my parents 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii and it was amazing!!! I seriously would move to Hawaii today if my husband agreed to it!
December had it's high and low points but this posts is focusing on positives! I DID get pregnant which gave us hope that we could indeed get sperm and egg to meet and do something sort of productive. I started my new job! Christmas was amazing! I got a ton of amazing gifts! I got a new laptop and tickets to the Carrie Underwood concert.
The dollar store ladies kept me entertained during January. I got my HSG and it was all clear. I actually enjoyed our forced break and being able to spend time as a couple.
I went from blonde hair to red hair in February, which was a much needed change. We went to one of our absolute favorite restaurants to celebrate Valentine's Day. I started injectible medications and responded well!
We got pregnant again in March after our 2nd IUI. We celebrated my dad's birthday by spilling the beans to our entire family. We enjoyed the positive aspects of my pregnancy and cherished every day with our baby.
I had my surgery in April. It's hard for me to find something really great to say about April but ectopic pregnancies are very dangerous. So the positive is, that I'm here today, I get to celebrate another year. I'm glad that my ectopic was caught in time. I also had the most amazing people around me to support me. My husband, my family and my friends were there for me when I needed them most. We spent a weekend away with my family in Hilton Head and it was nice to get away.
Finally it's May! I just love the month of May. We celebrated Zach's birthday by doing the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. It was a surprise to him and I think he really enjoyed it! I'm participating in ICLW which has connected me to so many people!
I think people would totally understand if I said last year was rough. I however, believe that last year was a wonderful year. I got to celebrate lots of amazing events with my friends and family. I am so blessed in so many ways. I'm posting my theme song for year 24 at the end. It's "This Ain't Nothing" by Craig Morgan. I love the message behind the song. Make sure you pause the music player on the right before you play the video.
I hope my 25th year will be just as blessed. Thanks for reading if you got this far! I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, and thanks for the comforting words.
My heart goes out for you and hubby for your loss. It is incredibly unfair to have to go through something like this. I hope your healing is going very well both physically, both emotionally. I am here with you, and will be your follower!
