Dollar store ladies....

Thank you! You give me infinite entertainment.

So last month when I got the BFP that lead to the c/p I ran down to the Dollar General and bought a dollar store test. For any of you that doubt those suckers work, they do. I could post a picture but it's sort of sad to see it and know it didn't work out. That was talked about in a previous post.

Ok, like I said, I bought the test. The lady ringing me up proceeds to play 101 questions with me. I'm pretty sure it went something like this:
DSL (dollar store lady): "Do you want to have a baby?"
Me: "Yes."
DSL: "I hope this is it for you. How long have you been trying to have a baby?"
Me: "I hope so too. A little over a year."
DSL: "Wow. That's a really long time. Do they know what's wrong?"
Me: "Yes."
DSL: "Well are they doing anything about it?"
Me: "Yes. I take fertility medication."
DSL: "OH! You better be careful or you'll end up like octo-mom."
Me: "Thanks. My Dr. is really careful."

Seriously, why in the world do these women need to know everything about me POAS!!!!

So today we run down there and buy some tests for this up-coming week since I am a POAS-aholic.

Me: "I'll take 4 of the dollar pregnancy tests please."
DSL 2 (not the same lady as last time): "4 of them?"
Me: " Yes please."
DSL 2: "Do you really need that many?"
Me: "Yes. I'm going to use one every other day."
DSL 2: "Well, were you on anything? Like pills or a shot?"
Me: (Remember I think in terms of IF now) "Oh yea. I was on both."
DSL 2: "Well then you shouldn't need these."
Me: "Huh. Ohhhh. Sorry. I was on fertility medications, pills and shots."
DSL 2: "Oh. Ok. Good luck then."
Me: "Thanks."

Next time, if there is a next time, I'm gonna tell them I need a case and see what kind of response I get. Zach says that the DSL's are gonna know me by name and want to see our baby once we are pregnant. He referred to our child as, "The dollar store baby". This baby is anything but a dollar store baby. I think it's more like million dollar baby...
