First Appointment- New Doctor

So last Thursday with encouragement from ladies I work with and from Tabatha over at Babbs' Baby Trail

Our appointment went really well. Dr. Scheiber was awesome. I seriously would recommend that practice and him to anyone needing to see an RE.

Our next cycle we are doing monitored clomid! The last clomid cycle was only 50 mg (the smallest dose possible) and I didn't ovulate. This cycle I will do 100 mg of clomid and call the office on CD1. They will schedule my U/S. If I have mature follicles then I will get a trigger shot and we will have timed intercourse. I can't believe I'm writing about intercourse for all of you to read but oh well.

Dr. Scheiber said if I am going to ovulate on clomid, then it may take 1-2 cycles to figure out which dosage is going to work. After we figure that out then it may take an additional 3-4 cycles to get pregnant. So ultimately we are looking at 1-6 months if clomid is going to work.

Zach is going to have an S/A on August 8th. This is just to make sure that as Dr. Scheiber says, "We're not getting me all dressed up with no place to go."

So overall it was a great visit and we feel like we are on the right path.

I am going to try to keep up with this blog on a more regular basis. I don't have much to write about except share all the crazy baby things we plan on doing. I'm also going to start saving my baby research here. I can't wait!
